Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, the host processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system in order to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with Netlify; transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Anonymous reach measurement

Without cookies or third-party services, we measure how often pages are viewed, how long they are visible and how far visitors scroll. IP addresses are only stored in shortened form, so no conclusions about individuals can be drawn. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use third-party analytics services.

Cookies and fonts

This website does not set cookies. The fonts Hanken Grotesk and IBM Plex Mono are hosted on our own server; no connection to Google or other providers is made when the page loads.

Contacting us

The contact form does not store any data on this website; it prepares an email in your own email program. If you contact us by email, phone or fax, we process your details to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Emails are archived in the relevant mailboxes for up to ten years unless a shorter period applies.

Applications

We process applications to carry out the selection procedure in accordance with Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Documents are kept for up to six months after the procedure ends and then deleted, unless you have consented to longer storage for future vacancies.

External links

Links to certificates, press articles, YouTube or Google Maps open external services. Data is only transferred to the respective provider when you click such a link, and that provider’s privacy policy then applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
